This beautiful Irish wool and silk cloth is made locally. It tailors very well into jackets and skirts, you can also use it as curtain material and for light upholstery such as cushions.

Our Irish Wool comes from one of the last traditional woollen mills in Ireland. It is one of the only mills that still do the whole process of spinning, dying and weaving themselves. It is woven for tailoring clothes but is also very popular as curtain material and for light upholstery such as occasional chairs, nursing chairs and bench cushions. 
Is this wool itchy?
Some people have more sensitive skin than others. This Irish wool is not particulary itchy but we suggest a soft lining such as our silk habotai lining, polyester habotai lining or viscose lining.

This irish wool fabric is dyed, woven and made in Ireland
Is this wool suitable for upholstery?
This Irish wool is not designed as an upholstery fabric but our customers have used it succesfully for light upholstery such as cushions and chairs that aren't frequently used.

Yes, this Irish wool makes up beautifully as curtains.

This depends on weight, destination and package type. Standard post does not have a tracking number unless the weight is over 2kg. Please note courier service is only available within Ireland.

We prepare orders on the same day that they are placed if they are placed on our opening days if not they will be prepared the following open day.

Orders are sent via An Post (Standard Postal Services from Ireland) or with DPD Courier within Ireland.

Orders going by courier are collected by the courier the same day if the order is placed before 11.00 am Monday to Friday. You will receive a notifacaton from the courier with an estimated delivery. Once they collect the order from us they usually deliver it the next day.

An Post Standard post orders are dispatched the same day if orders are placed before 3.00 pm Monday to Friday. You will get a notification saying Shipped when it has been posted.

We do not use registered post unless we are requested to. Within Ireland, An Post will deliver your package so you should expect it between 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday to Friday.

If you’re not there when they call, they’ll leave information with details on how to pick it up.

They usually deliver within 2 days. This might take longer during busy periods. If you do not receive your order within 7 working days please get in touch. For countries outside Ireland the delivery times will vary, please contact us for time estimates.

 

We cannot issue refunds for fabric that has been cut to measure from the roll. However, if, in spite of our meticulous quality checks, you need to return fabric because it is flawed, we will issue a full refund including shipping charges. This is on condition that the fabric is returned within 14 days and that it has not been cut into. We can refund Haberdashery if you have changed your mind as long as it has not been cut to measure from a roll. It has to be returned to us in the same new condition. This refund does not include postage.
